Our Aussie Experiences > Bathing Boxes at Brighton Beach
|
This picture was taken by my son, Aiman |
Day 4 - we headed straight to Brighton Beach after berries picking at Jay Berries in Yarra Valley. At that time, it was already 2.30pm.
The journey was supposed to be only 45 minutes by car according to Google Maps, but we missed a few turns and junctions, as a result, our total journey time to Brighton Beach took almost 2 hours. By 5pm, we finally arrived at the beach. I have to warn you that the parking fee is AUD5.70 per hour and it only accepts cards, either debit or credit. No cash is accepted.
Since the weather was extremely nice, there were crowds of beachgoers and tourists. Hard to find bathing boxes which were not occupied with people.
Well, there we were at the Bathing Boxes, Brighton Beach.
p/s: While others had picnics on the beach, we had ours at the back of the boxes due to hot weather. We had to find a shade...
See, there were crowds of people...no privacy |
We thought that it was only us until we saw this picture...there is a man sunbathing behind us.. |
Zara thought the picture was perfect, well not quite...spotted a couple sunbathing |
Aiman likes kangaroos |
Me at last managed to find an empty box to pose |
Zara had to wait for a while before she could pose at this box, apparently this box is one of the most popular bathing boxes on this beach |
Perfect Family Picture |
Not just people but also there are flocks of birds on the beach |
At last some privacy almost at the end of the row of the boxes |
The water is so blue... |
