Our Aussie Experiences > Day 2: The Great Ocean Road (GOR) Journey Experience

A view at Port Campbell |
*Two words of advice: leave home very early in the morning although it is summer & day trip is not highly recommended unless you have to
The ultimate experience going through the Great Ocean Road (GOR) is to reach and witness the breathtaking sceneries of Twelve Apostles, Loch Ard Gorg and London Bridge at the National Park in Port Campbell.
To do this, there are two ways:
- either you start your GOR journey experience starting from Torquay drive up to Part Campbell using B100 road - it is a very long coastal winding road and dual carriageway, but the view is BREATHTAKING, it is indescrible with words. There are many lookout places where you can stop to take pictures and many small towns to stop for breaks, along the way to Port Campbell.
- you may start from Port Campbell to Torquay using the motorway M3 (it is faster this way)so that you can reach Port Campbell in the afternoon, so that you can go back to Melbourne through Cape Otway, Kenneth River, Apollo Bay and Wye River using B100 road. This is the route that we took.

We headed back to Melbourne through B100 road and exited to Geelong for Maghrib & Isya prayers. I personally wanted to go to this mosque because of its uniqueness. This mosque was a church before. When we finally reached Geelong, it was already dark. We could not take many pictures due to the darkness.
Below are some of the pictures of the mosque which we managed to capture.

It was almost midnight when we left Geelong and finally reached our accommodation at 1am. It was so tiring but worth it!
